What This Portal Is For
The Tech UGC Application Portal is the front door to a creator program for people who make user-generated content (UGC) about technology. UGC is the short, honest, made-on-a-phone kind of video that brands now use everywhere: unboxings, app walkthroughs, "three things I wish I knew" clips, and real reactions to real products. Tech companies want creators who can explain a product clearly and make it look like something a normal person would actually use. This portal is where those creators apply.
Most creator programs work like a black box. You fill out a form, you wait, and you either hear back or you don't. This portal is built to be clearer than that. Every application gets reviewed, and every applicant gets one of three answers: Accepted, Not Right Now, or Invited to Training. That last option is the part I care about most. A lot of creators are close but not quite ready. Maybe their lighting is rough, their hooks are slow, or they've never filmed a product demo before. Instead of a flat rejection, they get invited into a short training track with clear steps, and they can submit a new video link for each step as they improve.
Applicants will be able to create an account when they apply, then log back in any time to check their status. If they're invited to training, that same login shows their training checklist and saves their progress, so they can pick up right where they left off. On the other side, an admin dashboard lets the program reviewer see every application, filter by status, and make a decision in one click.
Right now this site is the foundation: the pages, the navigation, and a working contact form. Over the semester it will grow into a full application system with a real database, secure logins for creators and admins, and a review workflow that updates each applicant's status. If you make tech content, or want to, start with the About page to learn how the program works, and check back soon for the full application.
